Lost $50 playing Texas Poker at Andreas' place after the party, at which I exchanged gifts with an asshole who didn't have the courtesy to buy a decent present.. Who the fuck would like chocolates for a present? And to think I bought a nice book.. Next year I'm just gonna find some useless shit in my house and give it as the present..

4th-last day at SP.. Thursday, Friday then New Year's Eve will be my last day.. Having mixed feelings of being happy to leave this accursed place, but dreading that I wont be able to find a good-paying interesting job.. I'll just leave it to fate..

Whew what a weekend.. Initially only planned to meet Hanyang to sell him my GF (that's Galaxy Force for the uneducated) Vanguard Team and collect my aunt's printer cartridges which Andreas bought from Sitex.. Ended up following Salim buy his United jersey from Peninsular Plaza and Vivo to get a N95 8GB for $288 only! After which we went IMM so he could update his particulars with M1 or else he couldn't switch to Starhub.. Then went home, watched 2nd half of Chelski vs West Ham, went Westmall to catch The Kingdom (which rocked btw!) with Jackie too.. Instead of watching football at Salim's place I fell asleep haha.. When I was awake for the Barca-Espanyol match he was the one concussed..

Bad betting weekend anw.. Lost $15 though I could have broken even had damn Rob Styles had some bloody common sense and gave United the penalty.. Why the fark would Cristiano dive when he already rounded Niemi and could tap-in for his hat-trick?

Was gian seeing Andreas get a new phone, so I searched around and realised that I could sell my 6288 for $170 and buy a 5610 for $148 under my dad's name.. Went Westmall in the evening and was told the waiting time was 3 fricking hours! Wanted to buy today after work cos I had class last night, but after considering that it's almost sold out at most places and the promo ends on 7th Dec, I bought it yesterday anyway..

Chiong a $16 cab ride to YWCA Fort Canning only for the damn lecturer to fail to turn up.. We got fed up and left at 7.45pm (class was suppose to start at 7)..

Book 3 arrived in the mail, but the edges were fricking dented, and section 192 was missing? WTF man.. Shot an email to demand a new and complete one..

Sold my 6288 before dinner just now.. Gonna watch the last episode of Heroes volume 2 before I resume my cabinet rearrangement..

Finally bought The Bourne Ultimatum to read.. Damn Yahoo seller doesn't seem interested to get back to me.. If he dares leave me a negative rating I will give him hell..

Only 7 people turned up for street soccer on thurs night.. So we played 4v3 race-to-5-goals with the losing team doing 10 push-ups (20 if it's 5-0).. Did about 50 push-ups I think.. But I screwed my right ankle AGAIN.. I thought it was ok already since it's been a week and I've been rubbing 药酒 on it every night.. How wrong was I.. Made a simple tackle and felt it gave way again.. Dad did his stuff and it hurt like hell.. I can walk but it hurts after awhile.. I'm laying off football for at least 2 weeks..

The CDs I ordered from cdjapan arrived today.. Bought a couple of Gundam 00 singles and the Crisis Core OST.. Blew $90 just like that.. Wtf was I thinking.. The good music is scant consolation.. I could have just downloaded all the songs.. Haiz..

Din talk much to C this week.. And I'm feeling down cos of it.. I'm falling.. Fast..

Couldn't study on sunday night.. Ended up watching Heroes.. So took half day again to study.. Thankfully the paper wasn't too hard.. Special thanks to Dave who drove me to and back from YWCA..

Had a weird dream last night.. It was about the future.. Can't recall the entire dream but I did remember one detail vividly.. Maybe I'll reveal if it comes true..

S-League still sucks

Took 1/2 day and watched Beowulf with Jack-ass.. Then we went Bishan Stadium to catch the top-of-the-table clash between Home United & SAFFC.. Bloody boring game..So what if the national players were not playing.. Home needed to win but played negative football no different from Liverpool.. I felt the $1 ticket was $1 too much..

PAY RAISEEEEEEE

Street soccer session on Wednesday night sucked.. Andreas & Jackie turned up, but 小鬼 brought 2 friends who not only suck, but refuse to help out to defend and insist on dribbling when they're the last man.. I was farking pissed off the whole time.. And I injured my right ankle again when I threw myself to block a shot.. It's swollen but at least I can walk normally.. Just hope I recover in time for Sunday's match..

C couldn't sleep so talked with her on the phone for quite some time.. She got a few hours of sleep before I woke her up at 7+ for her paper.. Zombie-fied at work the whole day.. Almost fell asleep during meeting..

After working 9 months as a temp at SP, I'm finally getting a raise from $7/hr to $8/hr, with effect from 1st Nov.. Just in time too.. Lots of stuff to buy in December..

Weekend's almost here again.. Its so routine I'm getting sick of it.. Its like my life has no meaning.. Gimme something to look forward to..

1-year old mistake...

Dropped by the Cash Converter branch at JE to sell off the SONY MP3 Player which was under my table for almost a year.. Bought it for $399 then.. Imagine my shock when the fella said the best price he could offer is $120! Even though the warranty card was unfilled, it needed the original receipt, but even if I still had the receipt, the warranty was ending anyway.. Plus recently MP3 players are getting cheaper, so there was no way I could have gotten my value of $300.. Thank goodness my Transformers have way more resale value than electronic stuff..

C was watching a movie at her friend's room to destress so I went to bed early cos I thought she wouldn't be logging onto msn.. She sms-ed me instead and asked if I could wake her up at 10 today.. =) Good luck for today's paper!

Mundane weekend

And so another weekend came and went..

Saturday was so fricking boring.. Cleaned up and rearranged the Transformers inside one of my cabinets.. Put the Dinobots in.. Cost me a fortune but it was well worth it.. Found my MG Wing Zero Gundam still lying around.. *ponders when will I get down to finishing it* And only 3 pathetic EPL matches that night.. B-O-R-I-N-G..

At least Sunday was a little more entertaining.. Play footie at Safra Mount Faber with James Yew & gang.. Been ages since I've been there.. Haven't played with the guys ever since I joined Protege 204+.. And if things don't change, I'd gladly swop my boots for shoes.. Watched Daryl 'The Dazzler' Peach beat Roberto 'Superman' Gomez for the World Pool title.. Supes totally lost it mentally in the 31st rack, missing an easy shot on the 5 and again on the 9.. Blackpool's got another hero other than Stanley Matthews..

United put a professional performance and saw off Blackburn 2-0 thanks to a Ronaldo brace.. Only stupid Chelski stopped me from a jackpot weekend.. Ultimately won $40, which is good I suppose (considering it could have been $90).. Let's hope Reading spring a surprise on Arse-anal tmr..

Back to work...

If I weren't a temp staff, i would have taken friday off so I'd have a 4.5 day weekend.. Alas I'm not, if I don't turn up for work, I don't get paid.. Gonna ask Robert on monday if there's an opening at his PR firm..

Nothing much happened the past few days.. Watched a few serials (finally up-to-date with The Bachelor), found out abt this anime called Final Fantasy Unlimited which I'll start watching tonight, watched United demolish Dynamo Kiev (again) and won $6 from Singapore Pools for that haha..

Got to know this girl from SGC.. Turns out she's from Hall 2 too.. I think I'm attracted to her.. Let's see what the future brings..

Man of the Match? Pui!

So fricking tired during the weekend.. I kinda expected it but I thought I'd be able to handle the tiredness but age is really creeping up on me though my face doesn't show it..

Friday nite was Chor Yew's wedding (his wife is damn hot! lucky bastard haha).. left before dessert cos I din wanna miss the last train and end up taking cab home..

Played in SP's inaugural futsal tournament on Saturday morning.. My team name was Zhong Hua Ying Xiong (I picked it or else it would have been Team FUYUN, which was capt's name).. I was on the bench for the 1st game and being the prima donna (heh) I wasn't pleased about it.. The game was tied at 0-0 when I came on early in the 2nd-half (it was 5 mins per half) and I immediately created a goal with my 1st touch and we went on to win 4-1, with me assisting another and scoring one.. We won the remaining group games 4-0, 1-1 (3-2 on penalty kicks though mine hit the post) and 2-0 and topped the group.. In the semi, after a few failed attempts thanks to my poor timing and being slightly vertically-challenged, I finally got onto one of my GK's long kicks and got the faintest of touches to score.. We won 2-0 and our final opponent was a team we beat 2-0 during the group stage.. I gave us the lead early in the 2nd-half, but sickeningly, we conceded the equalizer in final seconds.. So came the dreaded penalty-kicks, and guess what, my poorly taken kick was saved by their GK.. This time we weren't so lucky as my team-mate also missed his and we lost.. Though I was top-scorer for my team, and possibly the entire tournament with 6 goals in 6 games, I'd rather we won 1st place.. The prize was a $10 voucher from Swensen's.. Anyone wants a free lunch, drop me a line..

Went home and slept till 7pm then went to Andreas' place to catch the big match.. Apparently Hans and Mark were coming but as usual they flew aeroplane.. Bran arrived late in the 2nd half and he couldn't believe it when his team went down 0-3 in 10 mins against Pompey.. I doubt Cacapa will play another game for Newcastle again.. 2-2 was a fair result considering we deserve to concede those 2 goals thanks to horrendous defending.. O'Shea is back to his old O'Shitty self..

A half-asleep me woke up at 8.30am to catch the 9.30 shuttle bus from Clementi bus interchange to Turf City.. Whey they have an ESPZen match at such a god-forsaken place is beyond me.. As expected I started the game as GK.. I saw my name in brackets at the left-wing on the tactical board, which means I'll be playing outfield in the 2nd half right? Fucking wrong! Cos we were trailing 1-2 at half-time thanks to defensive errors by the damn ang mohs in the team, I was told to stay on as GK.. Made a few saves in the 2nd half, even took one on the jaw, but we couldn't find the winner and it ended 3-3.. I visited the website and I was actually named the Man of the Match for my team! Maybe he couldn't think of anyone else cos it was quite a poor team showing.. Or maybe he's finally sensing that I'm FUCKING FED UP of playing GK so he's trying to placate me.. Whatever it is, I dunno how long I'm gonna stay in the team.. What's the point in traveling all around S'pore every week only to play GK?

Tried the lamp chop from Baystreet 21 at IMM last nite.. It was so-so only.. I'd stick to the chicken chop next time..

Feeling the effects of the weekend's activities now.. Can't open my jaw fully and my headache's still there.. Not to mention my inner thigh muscles of both legs are throbbing.. Someone recommend me a masseur pls.. Not really looking forward to lesson tonight..

The tribes have merged as 黑打风.. James has 2 immunity idols while Jamie was dumb enough to use a blank board for immunity thinking it was the idol.. I think Jean-Robert's next to go unless he wins immunity, which I doubt he will unless the challenge is playing poker..

Finally collected the loose & complete set of all 5 Dinos today.. Andi had kindly reserved them for me since July so that I could raise the cash.. Fulfillment of a childhood dream of owning all the Dinobots.. Now I'm at a loss of whether to display them in my cabinet or leave them in the ziploc bags, for fear the chrome wears out if I display them.. I've got no space in my cabinet anw so they stay in the bags for now..

Last night's lesson so damn amusing.. The lecturer's a funny fella, the way he tells us his experience is simply hilarious! This has got to be the best module so far.. Hmm maybe I can approach for a job at his PR firm after my SP contract ends..

Played Hellgate awhile before i conked out.. Level 4 and counting.. Gonna try multiplayer soon, though earliest I can play is prob saturday afternoon after the SP futsal tournament..

Hellgate: Funan DigitaLife Mall

Took half day off yesterday to get the collector's edition of Hellgate: London.. Wasn't too keen on it initially but after reading reviews & reports I just joined the hype..

Reached Funan at 1.30pm, and joined the Singtel exclusive queue.. Estimated around 50+ people ahead of me.. I thought I still had the chance to get my copy autographed (since the 1st 100 were entitled) but the emcee announced that only the 1st 25 from the Singtel queue would get it, the remaining 75 coming from the other queue.. Wtf man.. Oh well, at least still got the free Templar Guardian figurine which I hope to sell off for $25 (retail price $31.90).. Any takers?

I got my copy at 3.30pm.. Finished Lone Wolf 1: Flight from the Dark during that time.. Sure brings back memories of reading it back in primary 5 was it? The book's thicker and the adventure's longer this time, but the usual plots were there: meeting Banedon, witnessing Prince Pelethar's demise, passing through the Graveyard of the Ancients.. One key difference was an appearance of a Helghast in King Ulnar's court.. Wanna know more? Get the book =Þ

After installing Hellgate, realised it took some time to load in-between screens and was a little laggy during gameplay.. Think I need more RAM and a possibly a better graphics card.. Seriously thinking whether I should get the Dinobots today after work..

My Lone Wolf book 2: Fire on the Water finally arrived yesterday, 25 days overdue.. Edges weren't as damaged as the 1st book, but what pissed me off is that its not of the same height as book 1! Where's the uniformity man?? Well at least there's a bonus adventure inside where you get to be Lord-lieutenant Rhygar, a Knight of the White Mountain.. Gonna finish book 1 asap so I can dive into book 2 straight away..

Pre-ordered some Transformers from Falcon's Hangar.. Seems like TakaraTomy's releasing the Classics line too.. Already got what I was interested in from that series so just ordered some new movie toy molds.. Hopefully I can wrap up the Movie line with these last few figures..

After lunch I came back to office to hear that a monitor lizard was spotted nearby, albeit a baby one.. It climbed into some small gap and refused to come out.. Pest control was called in and he caught the fella after a couple of hours.. Here's some pics:

While I was having my 鱼片汤 dinner, this cute little girl in one of those PAP kindergarten uniform sat at my table and started writing some chinese words on a piece of paper.. She asked me how to write '鱼', '龟', '虫' and '鸟'.. Luckily my chinese still can make it (thanks dad)..

Was watching the Cancer Charity Show last night when I heard some really retro songs by 伍思凱 and managed to find the mp3s of 特别的爱给特别的你, 寂寞公路 & 爱要怎么说.. They're in my Shuffle now, along with a slew of other retro chinese songs.. Still looking for the Chen Lei hokkien songs though.. Anyone who has it can send me and save me the trouble of looking for them?

The Pool-Arse match was really entertaining.. Gerrard scored an early goal when the Arse wall literally went to pieces during a free-kick, which set the tone for Arse to attack & they proceeded to constantly barrage the Pool goal.. Arse's one-touch football is simple breath-taking; but their final ball is still left wanting.. A draw's a fair result, though I had hoped Pool do us a favour so that United could retain top spot.. This saturday's game is gonna be a cracker!

Woke up in the middle of the night cos I had sudden serious cramp in my right calf.. Haven't had one in quite awhile.. I stood up to stretch the muscle but I fell and landed hard.. Amazed that my scream didn't wake my parents.. The cramp went away but my right big toe was hurt bad in the fall.. Damn of all times this happens when the SP futsal tournament is only days away.. Crummy luck..
